Marion Ferré, originally from Lille in northern France (born 1988), is both a mathematician and a painter now living in Madrid. Trained as a private tutor for engineering students, she has spent many years helping aspiring scientists navigate the demanding world of higher mathematics. Yet, beyond her teaching, her deepest and most personal pursuit has always been painting.

Her creative path began with small-scale illustrations and gradually moved into decorating shopfronts, especially festive Christmas displays, where she found joy in bringing brightness and warmth to everyday streets. This exploration naturally evolved into larger mural projects and participation in art exhibitions. Since childhood, animals have remained her favorite theme, expressed in vivid and joyful colors. Using gouache, watercolor, and oil, she portrays the liveliness of the natural world with a playful imagination.

Combining the strict logic of mathematics with the expressive freedom of painting, Marion’s work embodies a constant dialogue between accuracy and creativity, between method and improvisation, between order and color.
